Gamme Magie Editions was founded by a group of intellectuals who appreciate and believe in the power of literature. The founders are translators, writers, editors and business specialists whose unique qualifications support each other in the operation of our publishing house.

While our main focus is to introduce the world literature to Thai readers, we also pay close attention to original and promising Thai writers.

In 2007, our first year of operation, we published two collections of Thai short stories, following by five translation books this year. Gamme Magie was honoured to print three novels by a world-renowned writer, Haruki Murakami, and a two-book of autobiographical cartoon series by a female Iranian cartoonist, Marjane Satrapi, whose work has been transformed into an animated motion picture of the same title, Persepolis.

Gamme Magie Editions will select and publish literary work, both fiction and non-fiction and both national and international, that we consider well-suited, interesting and valuable for Thai people. We also republish some of the forgotten works and make them available to younger generations. Our mission is to provide Thai readers with books that are worth a lifetime reading, although we need to financially survive, we intend to focus on the values of the books in our selection rather than the marketing trends or commercial risks.
