Based on the world-renounced novel of Antoine de St-Exupéry, The Little Prince has once again visited the literary world. This time, in the form of a graphic novel by Joann Sfar, a young-blood French comic artist and book creator who wrote Chat du Rabbin.

The story is about the little prince from a small faraway star who owned a couple of volcanoes and one special rose. Her arrogant and self-center made him confused and he left his star in search of the true meaning of friendship. During his journey, the little prince met several people: a drunk, a business man, a king, a conceited man, a geographer and a lamplighter, but found no answer. Finally, he arrived the planet earth. He met the fox and so many roses that looked so much like his special one. And that made him even more confused. However, with an agreement to tame the fox upon his request, the little prince has learned, finally, the true meaning of friendship and the things that make his rose different from others. Before leaving the earth, his thoughtfulness and his love for the rose deeply impressed the pilot who had landed on a nearby desert in a plane accident. And this pilot is the one who tells the tale.

The Little Prince Graphic Novel does have different style and unfamiliar sketches, which is just a normal art phenomenon where the artist would leave his mark on the final product. However, with his attempt to carefully keep the original story and its interpretation unchanged, Gamme Magie Editions believes that our readers, although true St-Exupéry's devotees, would accept and even fall for Sfar?s little prince as soon as they set their eyes on the book.

Because "what is essential is invisible to the eyes."
